In 1985, BDS started as a local delivery service in the sleepy little
town of Boca Raton, Florida. By 1993, BDS was serving all of Palm
Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties with daily deliveries.
Today, BDS Courier makes hundreds of deliveries every day
throughout the tri-county area. Our trained couriers are kept in
constant communication with our dispatch center in Boca Raton via
our two-way radio system.
About Our President
My name is Lindsay Gruskin and my primary responsibility is to
ensure that our clients are serviced with the utmost speed and
care. I quite literally grew up in the courier business during the
1960’s and 1970’s. My father owned Capitol Messenger Service in
New York City. With several branch offices in Manhattan and
between 200 and 250 couriers on staff, I learned at a very young
age how exciting and rewarding the courier business can be. Even
after 28 years within the courier industry I still find every day to be
exciting and I welcome the opportunity to build relationships with our
existing and new clients.
About Our Little Mascot
You've probably noticed the line drawing of a little dashing
messenger who appears on several pages of this site. He was
created by a commercial artist for my father's courier service back
in the 1950's, appearing on the stationary, business cards, Yellow
Page ads, Etc. A picture is worth a thousand words, and he
certainly symbolizes how a good courier feels about getting the job
done as fast as possible. Everyone at BDS feels the same way.
